4. CENA&ZACK RYDER NO MATCH FOR THE MIZ&R-TRUTH!

Two weeks before he teams with The Rock to face The "Awesome Truth" at Survivor Series, John Cena joined forces with The Long Island Iced-Z to face The Miz & R-Truth and quickly found out he'll have some serious competition come Nov. 20. Despite working well as a duo, the Cenation leader and the internet sensation found themselves dominated and on the losing end of things when The Miz escapes from Cena's Attitude Adjustment, levels Cena inside out with a big boot and Truth held down Cena's legs, allowing The "Awesome One"to score the win.

He gets back in, and finally Ryder gets the tag! Truth and him square off as the crowd roars their approval. Truth hits a shoulder block and then gets sent off the ropes and into the air for a front body drop! Ryder throws him hard to the outside as we head to the final commercial of the night!

R-Truth isolates Ryder in the middle of the ring with a chin lock. Ryder escapes, but misses a dropkick. Truth goes for a cover, but Ryder kicks out. Truth lets go just to punch Ryder in the face a few times before cinching in the hold again while The Miz makes fun of Cena's"We can't see me". Both are up now but it's short lived as they both hit a clothesline on each other.

Cena and Miz both get the tag, and Cena charges in hard. He hits two shoulder blocks on Miz and follows with a side slam first on Miz, and then on Truth! Cena brings Ryder into the ring, and they hit stereo 5 Knuckle Shuffles! Ryder throws Truth out of the ring, but gets pulled out himself. Cena lifts Miz up for the AA, but Miz escapes, hits a big boot that turns Cena inside out and goes for the cover. Truth holds Cena's legs! This match is over!

Days before their highly anticipated clash in Madison Square Garden at Survivor Series, The Rock came eye-to-eye with The "Awesome Truth." But would the "boots to asses" campaign also include John Cena?

SURVIVOR SERIES 2011

For the most part they gave the crowd what they came for. Rock was actually somewhat limited in what he did as Cena did almost all of the selling and Rock didn't take many bumps. What he did do looked good and worked in the context of the match. There wasn't really a big storyline development. Nothing was forwarded in the match itself other than a continuation of the tension between them with a few potential minor misunderstandings. Miz and Truth were so not treated or perceived as threats, that the win itself didn't really get the pop it could have had WWE built Truth and Miz as stronger heels...
